An information hub on activism and the pandemic

On May 5, 2023, the World Health Organization declared the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. But the effects of the pandemic will be with us for a long time. The disease left behind a legion of orphans, millions of people suffering with Long Covid, a gap in the learning process for school children, long term economic impacts, and collective trauma associated with widespread sickness and death.
During the pandemic, civil society mobilized to respond both to the emergency and to the need to confront the pandemic´s long term consequences. These efforts continue to this day.
The MobilizaCovid Repository was created in 2020 to give visibility to these efforts and to understand how civil society mobilizes under crisis. Here you will find information on mutual aid initiatives, campaigns for emergency policies and programs, efforts to preserve the memory of those dead and to support the grieving process, struggles for the rights of pandemic victims, and work to protect society from future health crises, among other issues.
